Our world class softwood, Hyne Araucaria is a native Australian softwood, now commercially grown in plantations. Traditionally used to build and decorate Australian homes over the generations, Hyne Araucaria has a uniform colour, a fine even grain and texture with a high strength to weight performance that makes it ideal for many building and decorative applications.
As a building material in appearance applications, Hyne Araucaria is used as a light-coloured flooring, for characteristic and decorative panelling and for superbly finished mouldings and joinery. In structural applications, it is available in larger sizes graded as MGP10 and MGP 12 and is also very popular for building battens.
With no resin and being totally non toxic, Hyne Araucaria is totally safe for children’s toys and furniture as well as many other handcraft and timber giftware applications. For the home handyperson, Hyne Rediywood is available through timber outlets for those do-it-yourself projects.
We know that Hyne Araucaria is amongst the very best softwoods available around the world and are happy and confident that our Hyne Araucaria Value Package will deliver all the expectations of its users.

It is indeed true that from little things, things can grow up to be world class.

Ed uses Hyne Araucaria exclusively in the manufacturing of his rowing oars, canoe and dragon boat paddles. "We have found Hyne Araucaria to be of a consistent high quality and have the added advantage of a ready cut component. It's reduced our handling costs and enabled us to compete with the cheap imported oars", Ed explained.
