The most recent addition to the Hyne Engineered Timber Products Package is the premier laminated veneer lumber (LVL) product available in Australia. Hyne LVL has many advantages over traditional building products, including its uniformity of engineering properties, its high strength to weight ratio, and its availability in long lengths. Available in 45mm and 63mm thicknesses with depths from 95mm to 360 mm, Hyne LVL is manufactured from plantation grown softwood, by laminating maritime pine veneer in a continuous assembly in which the grain direction of all veneers runs longitudinally.

Australian builders have been using LVL for many building applications including floor joists and bearers, lintels and verandah beams, and as structural roof members. This cost effective engineered softwood is a strategic and efficient building component that is now included within the Hyne Truebeams range.

Engineers and building designers can specify Hyne LVL with confidence knowing that it conforms to the requirements of AS/NZS 4357 – Structural Laminated Veneer Lumber, with the design loads used to determine member sizes in Hyne Design based on AS 1684.1 1999 – Residential Timber Framed Construction. Hyne LVL can be integrated with the other cost effective engineered timber products that make up the Hyne Truebeams Value Package.
